A: Yes, Harvey
Maria floors are waterproof and slip-resistant so perfect for bathrooms.
Q: Are the tiles guaranteed?
A: Yes, all Harvey Maria floors are manufactured to ISO9001 quality standards
and guaranteed for domestic and commercial usage for up to 15 years. See
terms and conditions for full details.
Q: Do I have to pay for samples?
A: We send out small samples free of charge. For larger samples and overseas
samples we make a small charge but this is refunded to you when you place
a full order. See terms and conditions for full details.
Q: Are any rooms not suitable?
A: The tiles are not suitable for use inside a shower cubicle, or on the
floor of a “wet room” (where the whole floor is used as the shower); we have not thoroughly tested our tiles for wall use yet, so for this and any other non-standard project please call for advice. In addition Harvey Maria tiles are not suitable for areas where smoking is permitted.
Q: Is there a special adhesive?
A: We supply the recommended adhesive, which has been fully tested. Unfortunately,
we cannot guarantee the suitability of other adhesives. We can also supply
a high-temperature adhesive for use in conservatories and with under-floor
heating.
Q: Are your floors suitable for use with under-floor heating?
A: Yes, Harvey Maria floors are suitable for use with most under-floor heating.
Please also check with the heating manufacturer that their specific systems
is approved for use with resilient flooring of this type. We recommend a
high temperature adhesive when laying with under-floor heating, available
for purchase through our website. Please call or email info@harveymaria.co.uk
for any further advice.
Q: Can you send orders to the USA and rest of Europe?
A: Yes we ship orders all over the world every day. Our website will calculate
the cost of shipping for you. For larger orders please contact us directly
for a shipping quotation.
Q: Can I get the design on a roll of lino/vinyl?
A: No, these are solid tiles which are much more durable than traditional ‘lino’ and vinyl flooring on a roll. The strength and thickness of Harvey Maria tiles make them too rigid to roll up.
Q: Can you put any design or photograph onto a floor?
A: Yes, we produce ‘commercial specials’ for company’s wishing to have their own design incorporating company colours or logo etc. These tend to be for areas in excess of 2000 sqm and cost from £15.00 per sqm. For smaller domestic areas prices start from £150.00 per sqm.
Q: Have you got any shops where I can see the tiles?
A: As we are a specialist company we mainly sell direct over the internet
and through a few selected distributors (UK only). Distributors are likely
to only have sample tiles to show you rather than an entire floor. Free samples
can be requested through our website.
Q: Do I have to order online or can I order over the telephone?
A: Our discount offers are only available online. We also can accept orders over the phone, via email, fax or in the post. We can take payment by credit/ debit card, cheque or bank transfer.
Q: How long will my order take to arrive?
Our normal delivery service takes 2-3 days from receipt of orders within
mainland UK. Overseas orders may take a little longer. We will keep you informed
of the delivery date at all times.
Q: How many packs should I order?
Please make sure you are ordering the right quantities. Our on-line tile
calculator will give you an idea of how many packs you need and includes
an allowance of 7.5% for wastage from cutting. If you have any awkward shapes
to cut around then you will need to make a bigger allowance for wastage.
We quote our pack measurements in square metres not square feet – If you prefer to work in feet and inches then please contact us and we can convert for you.
Q: I am at work all day, how can I get my tiles delivered?
A: When you place your order you will have the option to have your order
sent to an alternate delivery address such as a place of work. Alternatively,
you will have the option to leave delivery instructions (e.g. please leave
in a garage if I’m not in) which the delivery company will follow if they believe that it is safe to do so. If you choose not to sign for the goods then we cannot be held liable should your order subsequently go missing for any reason.
Q: Can you let me know which day you are sending my order out?
We will contact you with a delivery date, if this is inconvenient then you
are welcome to contact us and re-arrange for a more convenient day.
Q: Can I get my order to arrive in the morning or at the weekend?
A: Yes, it is possible for most UK orders – for a small surcharge. Please contact us once you have placed your order to upgrade your delivery.
Q: Does the pattern match up at the edges?
A: No, none of the patterns on Harvey Maria floors are designed to match up. They are designed to form a unique patchwork rather than an exact 100% match. Each tile is completely different and laid
randomly, meaning your eye is drawn to the overall effect rather than any joins.
Q: Can I collect the tiles from your office
A: We only hold samples at our office in Croydon. All our stock is located
in Cambridgeshire. Orders can be collected from our storage facility by prior
arrangement.
Q: I bought one of your floors on a cork backed product years ago, can
you still supply these designs?
A: Unfortunately the older designs have now
been discontinued and we no longer have any stock left. |
